This medium bodied wine is both lithe and expressive, with embracing tannins wrapping gently around a focused core of dried herb-accented black cherry and licorice flavors, dancing with finesse on the finish.

This 2022 Columbia Valley bottling has a touch of Petit Verdot blended in. Garrigue and graphite mark the nose alongside violets and cassis notes. The palate is well-structured, with medium-bodied black fruits alongside chocolate and sagebrush accents. Drink 2025-2035- 92
International Wine Report-92 Points
The 2022 Dusted Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from the Columbia Valley is a polished and expressive wine, featuring 97% Cabernet Sauvignon with a dash of Petit Verdot. Aged for 20 months in 38% new French oak and 4% new Wisconsin oak, it offers a complex aromatic profile of wild herbs, crushed rock, and fresh lilac flowers, complemented by ripe blackcurrants and dark cherry. The palate is well-structured and refined, with layers of blackberry, cocoa powder, and dried sage weaving through fine-grained tannins. 1800 cases produced.
James Suckling-91 Points
Bright and focused, this full-bodied yet refined red offers ripe dark berries, hints of cedar and wet earth with spicy complexity. Firm, chiseled tannins nicely frame the ripe-fruit core, leading to a velvety, lingering finish. Drink or hold.
The Wine Enthusiast-90 Points
(Columbia Valley). This is a tannic beast that will require some air time before you sneak up on it. The aromas are on the rich and sweet side, with ripe black cherries laced with Madagascar vanilla. Black cherry, anise and sage flavors are just as rich, but they are supported by a wall of grippy tannins that dry the roof of the mouth. —M.A. abv: 14.2%
