Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru

Description

Joseph Drouhin
Chambolle-Musigny
Premier Cru

DESCRIPTION:

    • Besides the Grand Crus of Musigny and Bonnes-Mares, the House of Joseph Drouhin is also the owner of several distinguished Premier Cru vineyards in Chambolle-Musigny.
    • These Premier Crus are vinified separately, in the traditional Burgundian style, and then assembled together under the Premier Cru label.

GRAPE VARIETY:

    • 100% Pinot Noir

FOOD PAIRINGS:

Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru should be served with delicately prepared dishes, such as “Canard aux cerises” (duck cooked with cherries) or “Boeuf aux morilles” (beef with morels). The cheeses should be ripe but not too strong.

TASTING NOTES:

“Fine lace and silk are the words most often associated with this wine. Bright, intense color and complex aromas evoking violet, black cherry and damp earth. According to the vintages, there are also notes of truffle and game. Refined tannins coat the palate. Good balance between texture and acidity. Long aftertaste, with notes of cherry and candied fruit.” – Véronique Drouhin-Boss
