Bright and juicy, this medium- to full-bodied syrah shows focus and precision with very pure,delicious red and dark fruit, layered with spices, iodine and savory herbs. Textured and vivid, it has bright acidity and a dusty, peppery finish. Drink or hold.

The 2022 ‘Stained Tooth’ Syrah was aged in only 14% new French oak before bottling and has a touch of Viognier blended in. Light white flower florals combine with dense red and dark fruits, with creosote accents on the nose. The palate is fresh and polished with a smooth texture. (Walla Walla Valley). I wonder if the wine’s 3% Viognier has anything to do with this orange creamsicle aroma? Other compelling scents include ripe boysenberries, violets and the earthiness of a wet meadow. Sturdy tannins and a toasty oak influence add some stuffing to flavors like orange zest and sweet blackberry pastilles. And yes, it will alter the color of your enamel.
