History

    • Domaine Drouhin Oregon was established in 1987. 
    • Located in the Dundee Hills AVA, Willamette Valley
    • French soul, Oregon soil: family tradition of fine winemaking from France to Oregon.
    • Robert Drouhin, the 3rd generation of the Drouhin family, recognized the potential of Oregon terroir to grow Pinot Noir and Chardonnay after a blind tasting in Paris and Burgundy.

Winemaking

    • Four story gravity flow winery
    • From Burgundy to Oregon, the Drouhin family keeps the same style since 1880 of “complexity, finesse, elegance”
    • Véronique Drouhin is the winemaker here as well as in France.  
    • Her brother Philippe is responsible for viticulture.

Vineyards

    • Vineyard located between 400’ to 800’ in elevation, it was selected for its remarkable similarity in climate, latitude and aspect to the legendary vineyards of Burgundy.
    • 124 acres of hillside vineyard, 100% estate wines
    • LIVE certified: environmentally and socially responsible winegrowing.

    • Purchased the estate in 2013. 
    • The first vintage was 2014.

Style

Vineyards

    • Sourcing of fruit from top producers in the Willamette Valley who are long time friends of the Drouhin family
    • Its lustrous garnet color is immediately striking, and aromatics of summery red cherry, red plum, and light warm spice characters leap from the glass.
    • The palate is fresh and fruit-driven to the core.
