Mariflor Malbec

2021 Vintage

Vinous – 93 Points

The 2021 Malbec Mariflor hails from Campo Los Andes in the Uco Valley and was aged for up to 14 months in French oak barrels, 20% of them new. Purple in color. It offers enticing aromas of crushed plum, rose and violet on the nose. Juicy and bold, the wine’s finely-grained, reactive tannins and balanced acidity produce a pleasant mouthfeel. This is a stylish, high-altitude Malbec. – By Joaquín Hidalgo on June 2023

Tasting Notes:

“A beautiful, mouth-filling and charming wine…” Dark, brilliant, deep black colour. The black fruit nose is intense and spicy with prominent smoky and oaky notes. Well-structured and silky on the palate, with well-balanced tannins and acidity that follow through to the long finish. A beautiful, mouthfilling and charming wine, which is perfectly suited to a wide range of dishes. – Michel Rolland
