Dreyfus Ashby’s dedication to representing outstanding producers perfectly aligns with our values. We take pride in contributing to Dreyfus Ashby & Co.’s rich legacy and prestigious portfolio. Our trust in this partnership is rooted in the mutual dedication to share our values and the craftsmanship of Prunier to connoisseurs across the nation.” About House of Prunier Prunier has been producing cognac for more than 250 years. Since 1769, through 11 generations of the Prunier-Burnez family, they have been ageing, blending and bottling Prunier cognacs from their historic cellars in the town of Cognac. If vintage cognacs were commonplace in the 19th century, Cognac Prunier was one of the first to revive this category in 1995. The idea was to offer the same tasting experience in the bottle as one has while tasting directly from the cask. These vintage cognacs are cask strength; they are not blended, filtered, or modified. They originate from a single barrel, a single year and a single growth area. This is the purest expression of the terroir within the cognac appellation. All vintages are aged separately in French oak barrels. The traceability of each vintage is important and is maintained through paperwork from distillation, along with regular checks by a bailiff to prevent fraud.
